Duncan Hannay is managing director

He's been busy juggling change. Scotiabank bought Trade Freedom, a Montreal-based brokerage that served mostly sophisticated investors. And then it bought E*Trade Canada, where Mr. Hannay was the boss. And during all this time, Scotiabank had its own discount brokerage, too.

Canadian Online Trader talked with him about the challenges of putting them all together--and keeping all the balls in the air.
